What We Do

Literacy is a vital component to Southern Arizona’s economic development. Employers looking to re-locate or open new operations in our area consistently request statistics on literacy comprehension levels to understand the readiness of the local workforce. Tucson Literacy.org achieves sustainability by partnering with the city, county, chambers of commerce, local businesses and community foundations in order to develop programs which address the literacy needs of early, gap, adult and ESOL learners, and strengthen our network of literacy providers to increase the reading proficiency of Southern Arizona’s workforce.
